					<description><![CDATA[&lt;p&gt;Most Americans have no idea of the misery that migrants are fleeing.  Parents are willing to face the danger of separation from their children, because the alternative is death.  I challenge politicians to spend a few days in the barrios of a major city in Central America.  I have visited the barrio of Managua and the garbage district, which is inhabited!   Past US government efforts to improve conditions for those that might want to migrate and thus keep them put in their home country have been meager, but are now in-existant.  No wonder the numbers of migrants will not abate. &lt;/p&gt;]]></description>
