    But Amy Cooper’s racism didn’t work – I’m not sure if that’s because the NYPD response was a good response, or what..,.but her racism backfired on her – no? What am I missing?

    Yes, it did backfire. But I think the point is that there are numerous Amy Coopers out there who instinctively feel they will have the upper hand.

    Amy Cooper’s reaction and actions are a great example of structural racism. Says volumes about the power she feels she has over African Americans and how she believes she can use that power to get the police to react. Good piece. Also glad they took the dog away from her.
